A landing page is a specific webpage designed to receive visitors from a particular link or advertisement. When someone clicks on an online ad, email link, or a social media post, they are often directed to a landing page that’s created specifically to give them relevant information and encourage a particular action. Landing pages focus on getting visitors to take a single action, like signing up for a newsletter, buying a product, or downloading a guide, without distractions like extra navigation links.


Example Use Case

Imagine a company selling online cooking classes. They run a Facebook ad that shows a video of a chef making a delicious dish and includes a message like, "Learn how to cook like a pro – sign up for a free trial class!" When someone clicks on the ad, they are taken to a landing page created specifically for this promotion. The landing page will have: - A headline that says, "Sign up for your free trial cooking class!" - A brief description of the class and its benefits. - A signup form asking only for the visitor’s name and email to keep it simple. - A "Sign Up Now" button.

The landing page avoids distractions by focusing only on information about the free trial class, with a clear call to action: "Sign Up Now." This way, the landing page guides visitors smoothly from interest to action, which in this case is signing up for a trial class.


Landing pages are a powerful tool in digital marketing and web development because they can be tailored to specific campaigns, helping businesses improve customer engagement and conversions (people taking the desired action).
